MENSCHENBILDER 2024/2025 is an exhibition of professional photographers from Lower Austria that will take place in Baden bei Wien. This event is part of a larger “Menschenbilder” (Human Images) project that has evolved into a traveling exhibition showcasing photography throughout Austria The exhibition aims to bring photography closer to the public by displaying works in accessible locations, often in public squares. The unique feature of this exhibition is the use of picture benches that serve both as seating furniture and as platforms for displaying captivating portraits.Originally conceived as a solo exhibition, the project was initiated in Styria by Christian Jungwirth, with support from the Styrian Photographers’ Guild and Federal Guild Master Heinz Mitteregger. It has since expanded beyond Styria’s borders to become a nationwide event.The exhibition is organized by the provincial guilds of professional photographers in collaboration with Atelier Jungwirth in Graz.
